Reality Registry

Android app · free to start

Someday, someone will say it didn't happen.

Anyone can fake a photo. Nobody can fake when. Reality Registry seals your photo or video the second you take it, between two public clocks that neither you nor we control — so months later, when it actually matters, you can show it's the original and when it was taken.

Ten sealed captures a month, free. Checking a file someone sent you is always free and never asks you to make an account.

A capture, bracketed

Your photo lands in here

The latest beacon number gets folded into your capture, so it can't have been taken any earlier. Seconds later the record is on Polygon, so it can't have been taken any later.

Why this exists

The photo was never the hard part. Being believed is.

You already take pictures of the things that matter. What you don't have is a way to settle it later, when someone with an interest in the other answer decides your photo doesn't count.

"That damage was already there."

You photographed the flooded kitchen the day it happened. Six months later, at move-out, it's your word against a landlord's.

"It's probably AI."

The cheapest way to dismiss real footage is now to call it generated. It costs the person saying it nothing, and it works.

"Prove you took it."

Your photo gets reposted, cropped and reused. The file's hidden metadata was stripped the first time it was shared, and there's nothing left to point at.

How it works

Three steps, and you only do the first one.

There's no wallet, no crypto, no key to look after. You open the app and take the picture; everything after that is automatic.

  1. 1

    Take it in the app

Photo or video, the way you normally would. The app captures it and gets to work immediately — no extra step to remember afterwards.

  2. 2

    It's sealed on the spot

An invisible watermark goes into the pixels themselves, which is why it survives being sent through WhatsApp or posted to Instagram — the kind of re-compression that wipes ordinary file metadata. At the same time, a cryptographic record of the file is written to the Polygon public blockchain, within seconds.

  3. 3

    Anyone can check it, later

Whoever ends up holding the file drops it into the verify page. They get back whether it matches the sealed original, and the time window it was captured in. No app, no account, no charge.

Not our word for it

Two clocks, neither of them ours.

A timestamp is only worth something if the person who benefits from it can't set it. So we don't. Your capture gets pinned between two public clocks that keep running whether or not Reality Registry exists.

NIST publishes an unpredictable number every 60 seconds, forever, in public. A capture that contains this number cannot have been made before it was published.

Verifying someone else's photo or video is free and needs no account — try it with a file you already have.

    For developers & AI agents

    Verification any agent can call.

Reality Registry ships an MCP server, so fact-checking assistants, moderation pipelines, and newsroom tooling can verify a photo or video in a single tool call — and get back a structured verdict, the on-chain proof, and a link to the public record.

    • Works on files already through WhatsApp, iMessage, or social media — compression and downscaling don't break it.
    • No account or API key. Verification is public by design.
    • Every result links to an on-chain record anyone can confirm without asking us.

    For organizations

Rolling this out across a team — field inspectors, investigators, compliance, claims — runs through our API and managed Play distribution rather than a public download, so device attestation and app signing stay intact. Tell us what you're verifying and we'll scope it with you.

The best time to seal a photo is before you need it.

It takes one download and one habit. The next time something happens in front of you, you'll already have the answer to "prove it."
